Growing Stars Daycare is proud to announce that we shall henceforth include Jolly Phonics as part of our regular curriculum for all our daycare, tuition and nursery students.
We will be teaching students letter sounds, letter formation, blending, segmenting, and tricky words, with various teaching aids - so your children can speak perfectly!!
About Jolly Phonics:
Jolly Phonics is a fun and child centred approach to teaching literacy through synthetic phonics. With actions for each of the 42 letter sounds, the multi-sensory method is very motivating for children and teachers, who can see their students learn language and acquire skills quickly and easily.
Jolly Phonics is a comprehensive programme, based on the proven, fun and multi-sensory synthetic phonics method that gets children reading and writing from an early age. This means that we teach letter sounds as opposed to the alphabet. These 42 letter sounds are phonic building blocks that children, with the right tools, use to decode the English language. When reading a word, they recognise the letters and blend together the respective sounds; when writing a word they identify the sounds and write down the corresponding letters. These skills are called blending and segmenting.
